What Personal Information We Collect

 This privacy policy applies to the websites (“Sites”) operated by K-Swiss Europe B.V., qualifying as the controller and located at the Diakenhuisweg 45 (2033 AP) in Haarlem, the Netherlands, and its affiliates (“K-Swiss”, “we”, “our” and “us”) and to the processing of personal information by K-Swiss as contemplated in this privacy policy. Any reference to “you” or “your” means you, the user.

 K-Swiss respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This statement describes how we collect and use your personal information that we may collect about you trough the Sites and from our communications with you. The Sites are hosted on various servers within the European Economic Area and in the United States.

Membership

If you want to register an account on the site, you will need to provide us with certain contact details and other information about yourself. By means of providing your information, you consent to the processing of your personal information. Your personal information shall only be processed where, given the purposes for which they are collected or subsequently processed, they are adequate, relevant and not excessive. These same rules and restrictions apply to all information that you give to us when you place an order on this website.

Preferred Customers

In order to become a Preferred Customer, you must first complete the registration form where you are required to give personal contact information (such as name and email address). By means of providing your information, you consent to the processing of your personal information. This information is used to reward loyal customers for their business. By becoming a Preferred Customer, you are able to take advantage of special offers we make available to Preferred Customers about new promotions, fashion trends, etc. It is also more convenient for a Preferred Customer to make purchases online.

Orders

We request personal information from you on our order form. Here you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customers' orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you.

Marketing

 We may from time to time use your personal information to send you automated email messages or marketing materials regarding our services and the services of third party suppliers, in each case with your prior consent or when you are an existing customer and it concerns similar products. These email messages may contain features that help us ensure that you received the message and were able to open the message.

 You may opt out of receiving such marketing email messages at any time, free of charge, by replying to the message with “unsubscribe” in the subject line, or by following the instructions in any marketing communication.

 

If You Are Under 16 Years Old

 If you are under 16 years old, please get the consent of your parent or legal guardian before you give us any personal information about yourself by way e-mail or any other Internet means. Your parents or guardian can send us their consent by e-mail, although we may follow up by phone or other means in some circumstances.  K-Swiss Policy on Customer Information

 While we endeavour to ensure that the information we hold about you is accurate and kept up to date, we shall assume that in the absence of evidence to the contrary, the information you provide us with is accurate.

 We do not sell personal information to any third party, nor do we have any plans to do so. However, we may share your personal information with our agents, representatives, service providers and contractors for the following purposes, including but not limited to, fulfilling customer orders; offering certain products and services in connection with this Site; communicating to customers; providing customer service; enhancing and improving customers' shopping experience; administering or facilitating surveys, contests or sweepstakes; offering targeted marketing communications to users; providing a personalized shopping experience; preventing fraud; and completing payment processing.
